Last year state funding to higher education was cut by nearly three quarters of a billion dollars. We have seen the affects of such cuts through tuition increases, reductions in financial aid, larger classes, and student achievement and persistance.

The stories of you and your friends are the strongest argument against any further reductions. Contact your legislators and tell them how budget cuts have affected you and why further cuts are unacceptable to Washington's students and families.

This is the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression. The level of proposed cuts to higher education will greatly impact Washington's ability to recover from our current situation and limit our future economic prosperity. This will affect everyone students, families, businesses, and communities. Invite your friends, relatives, and co-workers to join the fight!
